By the way… In the Tom McKaskill interview, Tom says, “We’re born with a range of talents and life experiences, whether we use them or not. The natural talents of the entrepreneur are creating a vision, seeing market opportunities, gathering people around them to pursue a dream, accepting some level of risk, being optimistic and being pragmatic.”

  1. BORN!!! I’m sure it’s EASIER for people bred into entrepreneurial families to become entrepreneurs BUT, I believe the entrepreneurial spirit and drive is something that is born at different times for people through out their lives.

And that burning drive has to be nurtured and fed properly or you run the risk of overwhelm, which turns to burnout. I bought Piranha Marketing program for my screen printing business and it helped me out immensely.

  3. The Entrepreneurial spirit is cultivated, whether encouraged or modelled by the example of the parents in things they do or accomplish in life or through encouragement one recieves along the way in life it is developed.
How far the entrepreneur goes is determined by their personality, drive and use of the talents which they develop as a result of the people they are with, the books they read and the other things they learn and apply along the way. Risks don’t equal success – nor does hard work – it takes a blend of energy and effort applied to the right tasks and projects for the Entreprener to succeed. Those who better knowing where and how to invest the time, energy and resources will do better than those that flail along. Resources promoted by Piranha Marketing certainly help provide tools for moving more effectively down the path!

  4. Entrepreneurs are in my opinion a little of both. Born with a burning desire to be completely independent, self reliant, and masters of their own destinies. Bred because they have to cultivate their skills, crafts and business. Its a gorgeous equilibrium.
