Among many other things, the sun produces light, heat and energy. If you take a magnifying glass and focus the power of the sun you can incinerate something…That’s the power of focus.
If you just take a few moments and focus your thoughts, ideas and skills…you can really “be on fire” this year and take your business to new heights.
Free Range Thoughts
My friend Dean Jackson came up with the term “free range thoughts” to describe that multitude of thoughts and ideas we as business owners and entrepreneurs usually have banging around in our heads.
The first thing you need to do is harness some of those thoughts. Take just a few minutes…even just 10 minutes every morning…or block off a nice solid 50 minutes once per week. Separate yourself from any distractions. Turn off the phone. Close the door. Just get those thoughts reigned in and sorted through.
This is especially important today as we are under a “machine gun” of constant information access and overload at all times. Just take it back to the basics grab a pen and paper and start putting your thoughts into some order.
Don’t Re-Invent The Wheel
Focusing is the first step toward reaching your goals this year. And don’t worry about coming up with some new grand ideas or cutting edge marketing techniques.
Just ask yourself… “What were my top 3 performing marketing techniques last year?” If you have no idea then…don’t beat yourself up…start tracking your results today so next year when we have this conversation you know. So either pick your top three performers or pick mine…
Here are a few ideas you could start with from my Rich Cleaner System…these are some of my top money makers …Consumer Guides…Free Rooms. … Client Newsletters… Referral Programs…The Pink Flyer.
Now make it your aim to really focus on implementing at least three of these easy and proven systems into your business this year on a consistent basis.
Each of those three strategies has many ways you can “serve them up” to your market place. So really make your execution and delivery of these systems your main focus.
And don’t let your ideas overwhelm you…keep it simple…choose what you want to do and stick with it.
Just do something…I’ll leave you with my favorite Wayne Gretzky quote… “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
Focus…and take that shot.
Keep it E.L.F.!

Good thoughts but working on the 2nd of the 1st letter to golf clubs areas. Right now trying to make enough money to pay for the Rich Cleaner and my mortgage. So far have booked 2 jobs from last Saturdays hand outs. Looking forward to more.
