Those were some closing words during an interview for I Love Marketing™ from
the absolutely brilliant Brendon Burchard.
What does that statement mean to you?
You aren’t running a large corporation. Most of my members are “Mom & Pop”
businesses, or family run franchisees. Small business. The backbone of this
country. The oxygen of our economy.
You may be “small”…but I know you think big.
You wouldn’t be reading this blog if you didn’t think “bigger” than your business.
You know you have the ability to take control of your future, your finances,
and give your family a great lifestyle.
You have the power through great marketing to create a “dream come true”
experience for your clients. You have the chance to “better” the professional
cleaning industry. You get to elevate the perception of professional cleaners in
the marketplace. You can smash the myths about carpet cleaning.
That’s big.
Through your marketing you have the chance to put your stamp on the world
through the legacy of your ethical business, through the integrity of your work,
and through the impression you leave on each and every one of the home
owners you interact with through the year.
That is powerful.
Brendon mentioned in his interview that a life-altering car accident helped him
reevaluate his life and put him on the successful path he is on now. When he
was facing death these three questions crossed his mind:
“Did you live?”
“Did you love?”
“Did you matter?”
You have the chance to live each day with conviction and enjoyment. You get
to run an E.L.F.™ business and love what you do. You have the opportunity to
really take care of the people you love. And you have the chance to matter. To
better your local economy, your life and to put value out into the world.
No. You might have a small business…but you are never, ever small minded.
Best,
JOE
